UD&S Pty Ltd is a Kalgoorlie/Boulder based contract drilling and
services company, offering Diamond Core sub-surface drilling. Our
Operations Manager and staff have significant expertise working on
projects Australia wide. The company was initially formed due to a high demand of skilled
local labour and Underground drilling rigs in the Western Australian
Goldfields.
UD&S currently operates LM75 Longyear rigs specializing in NQ2
wireline. We also have the capability of drilling AQ, BQ, HQ
wireline and LTK48, LTK60 conventional coring. We also have air operated Kempe machines.

UD&S considers the effective management
of Safety and Environment to be an integral part of our business.
Our commitment to Safety and the training and development of our
personnel is as important to us as our commitment to overall
business objectives.
Safety:
UD&S is committed to the formulation and implementation of a
Safety and Health Policy to provide a safe and healthy working
environment for all employees, contractors and visitors. UD&S will
abide by all statutory Acts and Regulations in force and endeavour
to maintain and improve safety and health standards beyond these
requirements.
To obtain maximum effectiveness from this policy, the following
points are significant:
- Employees will be adequately inducted
- Equipment will be maintained in a safe operating condition at all times
- All employees must be involved in, and contribute to safety
- All accidents/incidents will be reported and investigated to prevent recurrence
- Engineering solutions will be sought for identified safety hazards
- Personal protective equipment will be provided and used correctly
- Safe working procedures will be developed and implemented
- On going training will be provided for all employees
- Site specific Safety, Health and Environmental Management Plan’s are drawn up for each work contract in the field
